  • Extension of medical furlough denied for Mahboubeh Karami, she is back to Evin.
  • Zahra Khodabakhsh, daughter of Shargh newspaper investor, detained.
  • Basimeh Kamjoo, teacher,  arrested in Fasham.
  • Mojtaba Karimi, Mohammad Moradi, and Erfan Mohammad arrested in Esfahan for distributing Kebrit, a forbidden student newspaper.
  • Journalist Sam Mahmoudi recalled to prison.

  • Baha’i Zhinous Nourani begins serving her one year sentence in Semnan.

  • Mohammad Ahadi released on bail from Tabriz prison after 4 months + 6 days.
  • Gholamhossein Azari Najababadi was released after completing his one year sentence; he was arrested during 25 Bahman (2/14/2011) protest for carrying a green flag.
  • Mehdi Forouzandeh Pour head of Mousavi office released from prison today at the end of his sentence.
  • Mehrdad Karami was released from Tabriz prison after 5 months incarceration
  • Vahid Lalipour, Mahdieh Golroo’s spouse, freed at the end of his sentence.

  • Banned from education, Baha’i Sama Nourani was released after completing her 1 year sentence.

D-Other News

  • Arash Sadeghi began a hunger strike to support fellow-prisoner Hossein Ronaghi-Maleki.
  • Tuesday afternoon, Evin Ward 350 was raided by security forces. Political prisoners protested by chants of Ya Hossein Mir Hossein.

  • Omid Firouzian, Baha’i; has been sentenced to 4 years + 6 months by lower court in Semnan.
  • Nourah Nabilzadeh Baha’i, sentenced by appeals to 5 years in jail.
  • Baha’i Pouya Tabianian has been sentenced to 6 years + 6 months by a court in Semnan.

  • Kiosk venders in Tabriz have had a protest gathering in front of the city hall protesting the actions of the Urban Squares Organization.
  • Students at Tabriz University protest the Internet cuts/interruption to services.
  • In reported clashes in Ilam, 5 military officers are siad to have been killed and 10’s of protesters arrested.

  • $1 = 1780 tomans on Saturday, 1732 tomans on Monday.
  • Abhar Steel Factory has been closed.
  • Workers of Iran Barak have not been paid for 7 months.
  • Workers of Parris factory in Sanandaj have not been paid for a year.
  • Iran cancels $2 billion dam contract with China.

A-Transfers

  • Davood Bahmanabadi has been transferred from Evin to a hospital.
  • Dr. Mehdi Khazali on his 35th day of hunger strike was taken to medical clinic in Evin. He remained on hunger strike. On the 40th day he was again take to the clinic, where a cardiogram showed heart problems and he was transferred to hospital.
  • Hunger striking political prisoner Mohammad Reza Motamednia was taken to Modarres hospital in grave condition.
  • Issa Saharkhiz has been transferred to the heart hospital of Amirabad, where he is chained to the bed.

B- Arrests/Incarcerations

  •  Worker rights activist in Sanandaj, Mehrdad Amin was arrested.
  • Omid Dahdarzadeh, a member of the Pan-Iranist Party was arrested on charges of writing slogans on walls to mark 25 Bahman.
  • Ali Reza Firouzi summoned to serve his 4.5 years prison sentence.
  • Dr. Khazali’s wife and daughter arrested on Feb. 14th were released on bail on Feb. 15th.
  • Masis Mossian, clergyman in Narmak Church in Tehran, arrested and sent to Rejaei Shahr prison.
  • Esmail Ravangard, student in Payam e Noor University in Marivan, summoned to Intelligence Ministry in Marivan and arrested.
  • Aziz Tazik, student in Payam e Noor University in Marivan, summoned to Intelligence Ministry in Marivan and arrested.
  • Widespread arrest of ordinary citizens in Kerman, Isfahan  and Gilan, Khouzestan and Khorasan provinces for calling to boycott of elections.
  • 17 people were arrested in Kerman during 25Bahman protest. 8 were charged and jailed rest released on bail.

C-Liberations 

  • Women’s rights activist Kobra Farajzadeh was released from Tabriz prison after completing her sentence.
  • Journalist Saeed Razavi Faqih released.
  • Student activist Younes Soleimani was released from Ardebil prison after completing 6 months sentence.

D-Other News

  • Human Rights activist Mohammad Sedigh Kaboudvand started a hunger strike Sunday 2/12 and breaks it on 2/14 after authorities accepted his demands.
  • Memorial for martyr Mohammad Mokhtari cancelled under regime’s pressure.
  • Roars of “Ya Hossein Mir Hossein” and “death to dictator” were heard Friday night in Ward 350 of Evin prison.

  • Fatemeh Nouri, Christian student, suspended from studies for one year.

Economy in Iran

  • Seventeen European countries import Iranian petrochemicals.

  • Total replaces Iran oil with Saudi oil.
  • Sanctions tighten as some companies refuse to ship Iranian crude.
  • German traders to participate in international forum in Tehran.
  • Iran reportedly cut oil exports to six EU countries: Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Netherlands. But oil Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister denied the news. Protests

  • One opposition party calls for street protests on 25 Bahman.
  • Explosion reported during pro-regime rally in Tehran on Feb. 11th.
  • Tehran University students issued a statement in support of 25 Bahman.
  • Activists and previous prisoners summoned to the Ministry of Domestic Affairs to sign a commitment not to take part in 25 Bahman protests.
  • A group of municipal employees in Tabriz demonstrated in front of the district office to protest use of temporary workers.
